I just got back from the Penny Arcade Expo in Boston this weekend. As a result, there’s really only one thing worth talking about. I decided to bring on someone who has already had previous experience with the level of awesome that is PAX, Addam Kearney from Talking About Games. We get into his evolution as a writer for Talking About Games, the eternal struggle between Wolverines and Buckeyes and the paranoia of the Census. But ultimately our discussion revolves around PAX. We trade stories and experiences from our time spent in Boston and Seattle respectively. There’s a lot of geek to go around on this one. Enjoy.

Media/Press was there to get hands on with the upcoming title, Super Street Fighter 4, as well get their hands a bit dirty in some tournament action. Let’s just say I didn’t fare to well in the tournament but regardless of that, fans of the Street Fighter series will definitely be pleased with the outcome of the game. One thing that came out of the event this year that looks very promising is Microsoft’s Gameroom, recently announced at CES 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Here’s the demo we received on the show floor. CES 2010: Razer Onza Professional Gaming Controller for Xbox 360

As I walked around the floor of CES, I stopped by Razor, since I had talked to them last year, to see what they had this time around. At their booth, they had a new Xbox 360 controller called the Onza, which I tested out with a little Halo 3: Firefight. Let me tell you, with the ability to tighten up on the grips, it gave more precision to the shooting. I was able to turn faster without going into the settings, and the ability to change around the buttons to my liking allowed me to add jump and crouch functions as I chose. Reaction time has no lag whatsoever either. Sure, the controller’s wired, but considering that Razor is behind some of the best PC mouses (and other peripherals) out there, I’m not complaining. It really shows with this controller.
